Possibly the worst-kept secret from Google’s I/O revelations, the next version of Android, has been confirmed with a tasty-looking sculpture.
Google already has Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich, and the new Jelly Bean upgrade rounds out its alphabetical family of operating systems and artworks on the grounds of its Mountain View, California, campus.
Google developers spilled the beans – literally – via their Google+ page on the eve of the first day of I/O, Google’s developer conference, in San Francisco, California.
It’s yet to be confirmed if Jelly Bean will be Android 4.1 or higher, but the best guess is the former.
