O2 is bringing back its iTunes Friday promotion, letting O2 Treats customers download three free songs from iTunes each Friday until mid-December.
The promotion runs from 11 November to 16 December. During this time, O2 customers who have signed up for the Treats programme can apply for a code each Friday which gives them three free credits for their iTunes accounts.
According to O2, customers downloaded 170,000 songs during the last similar promotion.
“Thousands of our customers absolutely loved their free iTunes downloads when we ran this promotion last year, so we are delighted to be able to bring it back,” said Maria O’Neill, head of Consumer Marketing at Telefónica Ireland, which operates the O2 brand.
“More and more of our customers are listening to music on their smartphones as well as their laptops, tablets and home computers, so we are keen to reward them with free music download on iTunes,” she said.
