Old Lady tarts up to tempt advertisers

The general manager of Ireland.com Una O’Hare has said that this week’s launch of the redesigned web portal is aimed at capitalising on the growth forecast over the next two years in online advertising.

The Irish Times‘ web portal has undergone a facelift with the site’s breaking news service becoming freely available.

“We wish to engage a wider audience in order to continue to deliver a top-quality product to our subscribers,” said O’Hare.

“With good industry growth expectations, we expect advertising revenues for Ireland.com to grow healthily on the back of the developing online display and classified markets,” O’Hare said.

“Moreover, the Irish Times Group’s recent expansion of its online portfolio presents Ireland.com with great short-term and strategic opportunities,” O’Hare added.
