Online TV service Aertv hits 2m visitor milestone

28 Feb 2013

Online TV service Aertv has reached the 2m visitor milestone. The platform is currently broadcasting the Games Ireland Gathering 2013.

The service, which launched just over a year ago, has brought more than 100 events live. Aertv is owned by broadband firm Magnet.

Unique exceptional events, such as GIG 2013, would never make it to traditional television but now it has a TV platform and tech-savvy audience online who wants to see it, the company’s director Philippe Brodeur explained.

“This 2m milestone proves that there is a significant appetite for a new rival to offer television and live streaming events that are accessible for all,” he said.
