Pinterest, the service that allows members to ‘pin’ images, videos and other content to their online pinboards, is now enabling its users to ‘pin’ on the go with the launch of new free apps for Android and iPad, and an updated app for the iPhone.

“Whether you’re travelling to another city, checking out gadgets in a store, or cooking dinner in your kitchen, you can now take Pinterest with you. Our apps allow you to pin, discover, and access your account from wherever you choose,” the blog post reads.

“The (iPad) app offers users new ways to engage with pins, whether swiping the screen to resume browsing after viewing a board, or using the embedded browser to see what others are pinning from their favourite sites.

“iPhone owners have made it clear that they want to see more pins. The faster, redesigned iPhone app introduces a two-column layout that lets users see more, so that they can find the pins they’re looking for and get back to their lives more quickly.”

The apps are now available for download at Apps.Pinterest.com, the company said. They are also available for download from the Google Play store while iPad and iPhone owners can grab the apps from iTunes.
