Queen joins Flickr, gets Pro account

When one is not tweeting or posting videos on YouTube, one is uploading to Flickr it seems as the British Monarchy joins the photo sharing service.

With two main albums, The Royal Collection and The Royal Family, there is now an official collection of 600 photographs, including images dating back to Queen Victoria’s reign with portraits of the Queen and Prince Albert from 1861.

There are some photographs from exhibitions at the Queen’s Gallery in Buckingham Palace as well as images as recent as 23 July, where the Queen is seen boarding the Hebridean Princess in Stornoway for the royal summer holidays.

Perhaps more of a collection for history buffs or royalty fanatics, but interesting nonetheless.
