Recruitment site Monster Ireland has introduced video streaming into job advertisements.
The Monster Video Profile feature on the site enables employers to create multimedia adverts to give prospective employees a better insight into their companies’ working environments.
The video streaming feature was developed with London-based Quicksilver WebFilms. As well as allowing for bespoke videos, stock corporate footage can be added to job adverts.
“Increasingly, we find that job seekers are becoming much more digitally savvy but also more inclined towards seeking employment with companies that show greater transparency about their organisation,” said Julian Acquari, managing director, Monster UK and Ireland.
“If you combine both these factors, video becomes a very obvious choice in fulfilling these jobseeker expectations.”
By offering job seekers a chance to see on-site footage and employee interviews, they can more clearly see the tangible rewards of working for the company, Monster said.
“In this broadband age, people expect to see video online and giving jobseekers a quality preview of a company will encourage the right candidates to apply,” said Rory Wheeler, managing director, Quicksilver WebFilms.
“From our experience, a video job posting goes a long way in raising a company’s profile and on Monster it helps a company to stand out from the competition.”
