Cool and natural photos are the best shots to use as Facebook profile photos as they are least likely to annoy or nauseate other users of the social networking site, a new infographic suggests.
The infographic published by Photoworld on Visual.ly provides a flowchart of questions to (cheekily) help a Facebook user choose the optimum profile photo.
The infographic subtly points out some dos and don’ts when it comes to choosing a Facebook profile photo. For example, do not post a profile photo of scenery (“Seriously? Go hang it in a gallery where people will care”) or a shot of an ultrasound of an unborn baby (“WTF!? This isn’t really what Facebook is for”).
Profile photos the infographic gives a thumbs-up to include those that feature an exotic animal, such as a bird of prey, and Instagram shots from a night out – so long as the subject isn’t pulling a duck face.
