Broadband and IPTV player Magnet Entertainment has added 10 new Sky channels to its line-up of TV channels available on its triple-play service.

The addition of the channels brings to 105 the number of stations now on offer over broadband as well as fibre-to-the-home customers of Magnet.

The new channels include Sky News, Sky One, Sky Two, Sky Three, Sky Travel, Sky Travel +1, Sky Travel Extra, Sky Travel Shop, Sky Sports News and Sky Arts.

“Sky channels are among the most popular TV channels in Ireland today – we have listened and responded to our customer feedback and are very pleased to add 10 new Sky channels to our growing TV channel line up,” said Magnet chief executive Vern Kennedy.

“Magnet Entertainment can guarantee that our customers will be benefiting from even more great content in the future,” he added.

At present 50,000 homes in Dublin, Meath and Laois are within Magnet’s fibre-to-the-home footprint. The company did not reveal how many subscribers have as of yet signed up for the service.

At present Magnet’s triple play deals – comprising voice telephony, internet and TV – start from €54 per month.
