talkSPORT brings live Premier League commentary to Twitter

19 Oct 2012

Radio station talkSPORT, which introduced live online commentary of all UK Premier League matches earlier this year, has now teamed up with Twitter to offer live audio streaming in a tweet.

The talkSPORT Live website was launched by talkSPORT in August, offering on-demand commentary of every Premier League match in English, Spanish and Mandarin after it secured the exclusive package of international audio broadcasting rights up to and including the 2015/2016 season.

This commentary will now be accessible via three talkSPORT Live Twitter accounts in English, Spanish and Mandarin. Starting tomorrow, these accounts will tweet embedded audio players for football fans across the world to tune in to hear the live commentary of key fixtures from the Premier League.

The player is also optimised for Twitter on iOS and Android, too, so mobile users don’t miss out.

Commenting on the new partnership with Twitter, talkSPORT chief executive Scott Taunton said, “This is the first of what I hope will be some great digital partnerships for talkSPORT Live.”
