Taxi app Hailo picks up Grand Prix at the Appys

Hailo, the Android and iPhone app that helps people catch a taxi wherever they are, whenever they want, picked up the Grand Prix award at the Appys 2012 last night.

The app just takes two taps on a smartphone, the taxi arrives and the user pays by cash or card for his or her trip.

Other winners included Best Banking App for AIB, Best Retail and Coupon App for DoneDeal, and Best Entertainment App Award went to Sky+.
