There are nearly no absolute rules that apply to all mobile apps, according to an infographic that looks at mobile apps by category and location.

The infographic by inneractive outlines the top 3 countries (by ad request) in each app category across mobile platforms.

The categories include Arcade and Action, News and Info, Brain and Puzzle, Tools, and Entertainment, and reveals the US is tops when it comes to Arcade and Action, News and Info, and Tools, while the UK takes top spot with respect to Brain and Puzzle, and India leads in Entertainment.

The infographic has been designed to help the mobile developer community target its marketing and promotional work. And why not? Mobile apps have become part of the huge opportunity to generate economic growth.

Just look at Facebook and the rise and rise of mobile apps in recent years, which have supported 232,000 jobs, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg had said at Davos.

Steve Ballmer, the CEO of Microsoft, had said the developer community is multiplying from the hardcore developers that may be 10m people to more than 100m people around the planet writing apps, and the chance to do more and profit economically is growing.
