Smash, smash, SMASH! (the Gregory Brothers remix)
The Gregory Brothers, who auto-tune the news, are perhaps best known for making Antoine Dodson an internet hero back in 2010. But 2013’s hero will be Kai, the homeless hitchhiker who recently made the news in West Fresno, and then the world. Kai had been picked up by a man who claimed he was Jesus Christ and then ploughed his car into another man before getting out and grabbing a woman who came to help. Kai grabbed a hatchet and – well, judging by the video’s title you can have a guess what happened next. The song has some NSFW language, but the original report from KMPH News is censored and more workplace-appropriate.

This video tracks Titus’ unerring baskets from the age of 18 to 24 months, and even shows his talent for trick shots, like shooting hoops while lying on a trampoline – sweet! A future NBA star in the making.

This video counts down the sins of Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone (the film and book’s US title, those of you who are wondering what happened to the philosopher) in just over three minutes – and my does it pack a lot in there.

Print your own medicine
3D printing is tipped to take off in 2013 but beyond printing toys and smartphone covers, chemist Lee Cronin believes we could be able to print medicine using machines that can print molecules using chemical inks. Watch him explain the concept here at a TED Conference.
