We take a look at some of the most-viewed and most-shared videos on the web. This week features the affluent crowd at the Galway Races rubbing their wealth in our faces, a terrifying tornado in Dublin, the even scarier horror of the Camp Gyno, Ireland summed up through song, an alternate universe without mobile devices, an eggs-plosion and a spot of food-based sex education.

About 100 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute, 500 years of video watched on Facebook every day, and more than 700 YouTube videos shared on Twitter each minute, ensuring there is always video trending on the web.

With so much video available for viewing, we take a look at some of the viral videos that have caught our eye this week.

Ah, the yearly Galway Races, home of Irish horse-racing, fabulous Ladies Day headwear and men with more money than they know what to do with, apparently.

Dublin tornado

Weather warnings threatened us with tornadoes this week but, thankfully, we were safe from the perils of Mother Nature. Some Photoshopping fiend did attempt to fool us all with a doctored image of a water spout over Galway Bay, but he has been bested by this dramatic footage of a Dublin tornado.

What better way to celebrate your homeland than with a musical tribute to all its best bits set to the tune of Billy Joel’s ‘We Didn’t Start the Fire’?
