Google has replaced YouTube Insight with YouTube Analytics, giving online video producers much more detailed statistics on how their content is watched.
The new analytical tool includes a summary report to give top-level performance metrics on the user’s YouTube content. It also gives easy access to more detailed statistics.
YouTube Analytics generates the same data given from YouTube Insight and more. It gives the demographics of who is watching the producer’s video content and tells the user where the traffic is being drawn from.
It also shows which videos are drawing the most views and subscribers to allow content producers to promote these videos more heavily.
There are now statistics on whether the viewer is watching all of the video or just part of it. The analytical tool also shows the producer which video is driving the most comments and tells YouTube partners how much they’ll earn on each video.
YouTube Analytics will be rolled out to everyone on ‘a modern browser’ over the course of the day.
