The 31-year-old man Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg obtained a restraining order against says he was only trying to reach Zuckerberg in a bid to obtain financial help for his ailing mother.

Pradeep Manukonda allegedly sent Zuckerberg a letter in January, in which he claimed his mother was suffering from a serious illness – he didn’t disclose what is was – and that she had little time to live.

Manukonda was also reportedly not clear about how much money he was seeking from Zuckerberg, but is said to have promised to repay the amount, intended for his mother’s treatment.

Zuckerberg obtained the restraining order against Manukonda by claiming he posed a threat after showing up at Facebook’s offices and at Zuckerberg’s home in Palo Alto, California.

Manukonda, who claimed he never meant to scare Zuckerberg, has said he will not try to contact Zuckerberg again.
