Zurich has launched a claims app for motor and home insurance customers in Ireland for iOS and Android devices.
The app will let Zurich’s motor and home insurance customers record, report and track a car or home insurance claim.
They can contact staff from the app, locate the nearest Zurich-approved repairers and send photos of damage from the app to Zurich.
As well as letting users input data needed for a claim, the app also features tips to minimise claims exposure in the home, as well as advice on driving in severe weather conditions. It also has a parking locator tool.
“With the winter months approaching, challenging weather conditions can lead to a sharp increase in customer queries from both our motor and home-insurance customers,” said Maurice Cullen, chief marketing officer at Zurich Insurance.
“As first to market with this combined claims app, our customers stand to benefit from our ongoing commitment to providing a fast and efficient claims service by utilising the latest technology.
“Claims that are submitted using the new app will be instantly fast-tracked to our claims department and customers will receive a response within one working day,” he said.
The app is available on iOS and Android devices now.
