Zurich has launched an iPhone app, letting its customers record, report and track car insurance claims through their phones.
The app lets users receive the information they need to notify Zurich of a motor claim, record photos of any damage to the vehicle and lets them make emergency phone calls.
The iPhone app also lets users locate the nearest Zurich-approved garages and allows them to request a claims status update.
“Each year in Ireland, Zurich processes many thousands of motor insurance claims and challenging winter road conditions like we’ve had in recent weeks can lead to a sharp increase in customer contact,” said Neville Dunne, chief claims officer at Zurich Insurance.
“As first to market with this innovative, new iPhone app, our customers stand to benefit from our ongoing commitment to providing a fast and efficient claims service by utilising the latest technology.
“Claims that are submitted using the new iPhone app will be instantly fast-tracked to our claims department and customers will receive a response within one working day,” said Dunne.
The app is available for free on the App Store or on Zurich’s website.
