Drone technology as we know it is amazing enough – but imagine drones that can transform from a helicopter into an aeroplane and back into a helicopter again? Mind-blowing!

The brilliant minds at NASA are already working on the very thing – the Greased Lightning GL-10.

NASA Langley researchers have designed and built a battery-powered, 10-engine, remotely-piloted aircraft that can take off like a helicopter and fly efficiently like an aeroplane.

The drone has a 10-foot wingspan and can smoothly transition from hover to wing-borne flight in moments.
