Google Analytics bug leaves marketers without web traffic data

3 Nov 2010

A bug has affected Google Analytics globally today, making marketers blind to how their web traffic statistics went on 2 November.

Google Analytics offers detailed statistics about visitors to a website. Aimed at marketers, it’s the most widely used web statistics service, on the net.

It currently reports that websites worldwide received no clicks for 2 November, meaning that marketers cannot access vital web traffic data for that day.

According to the Analytics Dashboard, Google has said it is “continuing to investigate this issue”.

The company said it will fix this bug and will update users by 6 November. Google also said no data has been lost. More information on the matter should be posted later on its blog.
