The massively popular internet role-playing game World of Warcraft turns 10 years old on 23 November and, to celebrate, an hour-long documentary charting the rise and rise of the series has been released online.

World of Warcraft: Looking for Group features all new interviews with some of the game’s developers and most prominent players, exploring the series’ history and the culture that has emerged around it. Click below to watch.

In addition, the game’s latest expansion pack, Warlords of Draenor, launches on Thursday (November 13) with publishers Blizzard Entertainment promising gamers they will be able to begin their “march into the perilous wilds of Draenor to face the fury of Grommash Hellscream’s merciless Iron Horde”.

“Players will encounter an epic cast of legendary characters and a huge amount of content to explore in Warlords of Draenor,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard in a statement. “The countdown to the arrival of one of the greatest threats in Warcraft history has begun. We can’t wait to send everyone through the Dark Portal this November.”

That should appease enthusiastic fans enough to keep them glued to their desktops for another few months. But despite the reputation of massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for attracting anti-social personalities who spend hours alone in their bedrooms (the Warcraft master in South Park, for example), a recent study conducted by the North Carolina State University, York University, and the Ontario Institute of Technology found that outside of actual gaming, players were engaging with other gamers on a social level by getting involved in activities like eating together and talking away from their computers.
