Gigglebit: Let’s do the time warp again (interactive)

21 Mar 2015

Gigglebit is Siliconrepublic’s daily dose of the funny and fantastic in science and tech, to help start your day on a lighter note. Today we play with the Way Back Machine!

As you all know the world is perpetually in motion – this planet seems like it is standing still but actually orbits the sun at about 30 kilometres per second or 67,000 miles per hour if you are feeling nostalgic.

The same is true for the internet and for every guru, expert or social media ninja that seems up to date, in time it is all relative, everything moves on and today’s bright idea or eureka moment is yesterday’s history.

In the brief history of the internet as we know it so much has happened and that’s why it was a joy to discover the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, which lets you travel back in time to when the internet was just a pup.

Enjoy (and shudder).
