Room to tweet: Twitter’s ‘Quote Tweet’ update embeds tweets within tweets

7 Apr 2015

It seemed to be one of those broken things that it had no intention of fixing, but now it appears that Twitter has resolved its ‘Quote Tweet’ problem by embedding tweets within tweets.

Up until now you couldn’t just ‘Quote Tweet’ the way you would like because of space issues.

This meant you had to, in most cases, edit the tweet down from its original form to include your own thoughts.

But now Twitter’s new update embeds the tweet you are quoting in a separate window, giving you 116 characters for your tweeting pleasure.

The new ‘Quote Tweet’ button has been rolled out to web and iPhone users and this will be followed by Android users in the very near future.
