Become Batman with The Dark Knight Rises mobile game (video)

20 Jul 2012

Unless you’ve been living in a bubble under a rock on the moon, you might be aware that there’s a new Batman movie out this weekend. And, like any good summer superhero blockbuster, there’s an app for that.

The Dark Knight Rises game, developed exclusively for mobile by Gameloft, lets players become Batman, the Dark Knight, the caped crusader – or whatever name he’s going by (Bruce Wayne?) – and protect Gotham from the villainous Bane.

Embarking on missions that include hostage situations, bomb disposal, jailbreaks and car chases, players will encounter familiar faces along the way, such as Catwoman, Lucius Fox, Commissioner Gordon, and, of course, Alfred.

As players move through the cinematic gameplay, they need to collect items hidden within the city to unlock upgrades and new skills. Batman’s arsenal of tools, weaponry and vehicles will be at your disposal, including the Batpod motorcycle that features in the new film.

The Dark Knight Rises mobile game is available now on the App Store and Google Play for €5.49.
