Popular mobile game Cut the Rope is now available on Android devices and is free for one week.

The game will be available on app store GetJar for free for one week with advertising attached to it.

Cut The Rope reflects the best of the best in mobile gaming today. The ingenious level game design, quirky protagonist and totally addictive game play are a testament to how good gaming is becoming on Android,” said Patrick Mork, GetJar CMO.

“We are proud to partner with the team at ZeptoLab to help bring this epic franchise to Android owners the world over.”

Cut the Rope is a physics-based puzzle game which stars Om Nom, a green monster with a sweet tooth. Players must cut a series of ropes in order to release food into his mouth while capturing stars on the way down. There are 175 levels in the game.

It was originally a highly popular iPhone exclusive. It hit the App Store No 1 spot globally, amassing almost 2bn downloads across 190 countries.

Cut the Rope has won a BAFTA award, an Apple Design Award and a Game Developers Choice Award.
