Budding game designers are being called on to create an Irish-themed level for PS3 game LittleBigPlanet.

The LittleBigPlanet Contraption Challenge calls on fans throughout Europe to create a unique "contraption" for their own LittleBigPlanet level that can exterminate all "Sackpeople", and winning Irish entrants will be invited to create a unique Irish-themed level.

Entrants need only have a copy of the game and a PlayStation Network (PSN) account to create their contraption. Entries can be made via the PSN.

Winning contest entries will win top prizes, have their work showcased, gain access to exclusive LittleBigPlanet content, as well as have the opportunity to meet some of the team from Media Molecule – the developers of the game.

The contraption’ which receives the most votes will win a 46” Sony Bravia TV.

The top 10 Irish entrants in the Contraption Challenge (ie, those resident in Ireland and that have an Irish PSN account) will be invited to create a unique Irish-themed level and to attend an event in Dublin in January 2011, hosted by SCE Ireland and Media Molecule.
