Facebook finally unveils its iPad app

10 Oct 2011

The long-awaited, much-anticipated iPad app for Facebook has finally been unveiled. The new app will come with new chat features and full-screen games. Users can also record HD video and stream to Airplay devices.

The new app groups users’ apps, games, groups and lists on a large, blue, left-hand menu.

Messages and notifications are presented at the top of every screen.

It is clear that the emphasis is on full-screen photography and HD video capabilities.

For example, users can watch high-res videos online, record HD video and stream video to Airplay devices.

In addition, users can play games and use apps in full-screen mode.

“We’ve also made several improvements to the iPhone app and m.facebook.com,” said Facebook’s Leon Dubinsky on the official Facebook blog.

“With your next update, you’ll see a simplified navigation, faster search and access to more games and apps.”
