Gran Turismo 5, the latest edition of the critically acclaimed driving game series, has shipped more than 5.5 million copies within its first 12 days on sale.
This means that the Gran Turismo franchise as a whole has sold 60 million units since the launch of the first game in 1997.
It has been delayed for quite a long time, ramping up the anticipation for the game, and is already proving to be a big seller for the PlayStation 3 this Christmas, judging by these figures.
