Netflix’s flagship political drama House of Cards is set to make a return to the streaming service on 27 February, as revealed in a new teaser trailer.
Kevin Spacey’s masterful portrayal of Machiavellian politician Frank Underwood and Robin Wright’s portrayal of his wife Claire have catapulted House of Cards to critical acclaim.
For its first season, House of Cards received nine nominations for the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2013, to become the first original online-only web television series to receive major nominations. For its second season, House of Cards received 13 Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
Like all previous seasons, all 13 episodes of Season 3 will be released simultaneously.
The teaser was released last night on Twitter via the official House of Cards Twitter account with the worlds “A very special message from the White House.”
The teaser video shows Underwood and his wife ascending the stairs into an aircraft and the date 27 February 2015 appears on the screen.
