Irish TV series Aisling’s Summer Diary wins international award

Aisling’s Summer Diary, created by Dublin-based CR Entertainment, scooped the award for best international teen TV movie at the Kidscreen Awards in New York last night.

The movie, originally broadcast on RTÉ in January 2010, tells the adventures of Aisling and her friends during their summer holidays.

This win follows the award that Aisling’s Diary – The TV Series earned last year at the same competition and the two previous IFTA nominations in 2009 and 2010 and C21 best format nomination at Cannes.

The series has been complemented by Aisling’s Diary – The Book, published by Penguin Books. Internationally, Aisling’s Diary has been sold by CR Entertainment to ABC Australia and SVT in Sweden.

KidScreen is the biggest North American market for pre-school and kids TV Programming.
