LittleBigPlanet Karting lands in Ireland on 9 November (video)

After two years in development, the latest addition to the LBP universe for the PlayStation 3, LittleBigPlanet Karting, is set to launch in Ireland on 9 November.

Sackboy’s new karting adventure brings LittleBigPlanet away from the platform model and into a fast-paced racing world, generating a 3D version of Craftworld for the very first time.

The game can be played as a single-player journey, or players can race and battle online in multiplayer mode.

Developed by United Front Games, creators of ModNation Racers, the game sees some unwelcome visitors come to Craftworld on go-karts, seeking to hoard all its prizes. Sackboy then needs to race against them to retrieve the stolen goodies and reclaim Craftworld.

As is expected in any game from the LittleBigPlanet series, players can customise their kart and Sackboy’s look, and create their own levels to play using an expanded set of unique creation tools.

To celebrate the launch of the new game, a special T-shirt honouring LittleBigPlanet Karting’s Canadian-based developers has been released as downloadable content for one week only, at a cost of €4.99.
