O2 brings Ref Talk to rugby fans

4 Nov 2010

O2 is offering Ref Talk for the Guinness series, letting supporters listen to the referee make calls live.

Available for the upcoming tests against South Africa, New Zealand and Argentina, it can be downloaded as an app on iTunes and to stream online.

This app gives supporters at home the chance to listen to what the players hear live through the game.

“With Ref Talk now available to those not at the match both online and via an iTunes app, supporters can hear what’s going on and be closer to the team even when they are at home,” said Jonnie Cahill, marketing director of O2.

The app on iTunes costs €1.59 and people streaming at the ‘Be The Difference’ website will get it for free for the South Africa game and will cost €2.50 each for the New Zealand and Argentina games.

O2 is also encouraging supporters to tell the company what they think through the app on their Customer Forum on their site.
