Sky has added the RTÉ Player to its coterie of catch-up TV services, bringing its most popular shows, including RTÉ News, the Late Late Show, Fair City and more, to the digital satellite and online service.

RTÉ Player content will be available for seven days after it airs.

Sky customers can access RTÉ Player by simply visiting ‘Catch Up TV’ on their Sky+ HD or Sky Q set-top box. Catch-up TV is available to all Sky TV subscribers at no extra cost.

“RTÉ Player is an increasingly important part of the way viewers enjoy RTÉ’s content on-demand and this partnership further underlines our commitment to ensuring RTÉ Player is made more widely available for audiences to watch when and where they want to,” said Aoife Byrne, director of content and products at RTÉ.

Never miss anything

Sky’s catch-up TV service offers content from over 45 channels including Sky Atlantic, C4, TV3 and now RTÉ.

Much of the content remains available up to 30 days after the original transmission.

“We’re really excited to expand our catch up TV service for customers, with the addition of the RTÉ Player,” said Sarah Jennings, head of TV product management at Sky Ireland.

“It’s all part of our commitment to give our customers the widest range of quality content and the freedom to watch it when they want, through their Sky+ HD or Sky Q box.”
