The Sunday Times (Irish edition) editor Frank Fitzgibbon and journalists Justine McCarthy and Richard Oakley launch the new app

The Sunday Times Irish edition is coming to Android and iOS tablet devices this Sunday, the newspaper said.

Readers will be able to download a PDF digital version of the newspaper’s content, as well as its eight specialist supplements, including Business + Money, Sunday, News Review, Sport, Travel, Culture, Style and The Sunday Times Magazine.

The Sunday Times Android or iPad tablet app will be available for download for €9.99 per month or €2.69 per week in the Google Play store and the Apple App Store.

“Readers who enjoy The Sunday Times in print can now enjoy that same rich experience on their tablet,” said Frank Fitzgibbon, editor of The Sunday Times Ireland edition.

“By expanding onto new platforms, this will enable The Sunday Times Ireland edition to reach a wider group of readers and increase the publication’s total audience.

“This new reading experience is the next step in our ongoing process to develop new and valuable digital products that offer our readers other innovative ways to access our content.

“Tablet ownership is growing significantly and it made total sense for us to extend our quality content to these platforms, and reach even more people with our award-winning journalism,” Fitzgibbon said.
