“THE NFL : A Bad Lip Reading” — A Bad Lip Reading of the NFL

BadLipReading channel on YouTube is somewhat of a viral video specialist by now, with nearly 150m video views to its name. However, it has never had such a viral video of this magnitude before. Live Action Toy Story

That’s it, shut down the internet, jonasonsMovies has won it. Few movies could compete with Toy Story when it was released on the big screen in 1995, and now the internet will struggle to match the efforts of a live-action recreation of the film. The ‘TS Project’, which started production in late June 2010 by Jonason Pauley, (then 17), and Jesse Perrotta (18), finally hit the web and has drawn the adoration of millions so far.

Fresh Prince: Google Translated | cdza Opus No. 16

Have you played the Google Translate game before? Taking a perfectly cromulent phrase in English and running it through various languages and then back to English again turns up some truly baffling results sometimes. The guys at collectivecadenza took it one step further this week by running the lyrics to the theme tune from the cult classic TV show Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through all 64 languages on Google Translate and back in to English!

Incidentally, applying the same process to the paragraph above returns this:

Games kromulent and sometimes the English company, Google, is excellent: Cold TV distant kollektivekadenza as young as 64 weeks, and English … Might as well throw Purple Monkey Dishwasher in there, too.

Nike Golf: No Cup Is Safe

I can think of (potentially) 250m reasons why Rory McIlroy should be happy this week. The County Down native golfer has just been snapped up to an extremely lucrative sponsorship deal with Nike Golf. Although he has failed to make the cut at the Abu Dhabi Championship, it’s nice to be able to cap off an already good week with one of the most watched videos on the web. Teaming up with another Nike Golf legend and on-course rival, Tiger Woods, the two produce some very nifty golf shots. No cup is safe.

We can’t finish a viral videos round-up without featuring some form of animal, and this week we came across Harvey, a pet cockatiel who like to drop some beats in his spare time. Here he is giving us some dubstep lessons.
