21 Oct 2012

We take a look at some of the most-viewed and most-shared videos on the web. This week features a lively sing-song from the town hall debate, one small step for mankind but one giant leap for one man, Bodyform revealing a little too much information, an awesome remote-controlled (r/c) chase and with the Apple vs Samsung fight rumbling on, one question remains: will they blend?

More than 72 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute, 500 years of video watched on Facebook every day, and more than 700 YouTube videos shared on Twitter each minute, ensuring there is always video trending on the web.

With so much video available for viewing, we take a look at some of the viral videos that have caught our eye this week.

Town Hall Debate Songified

Sick of the presidential debates already? Yeah, us too. Constantly seeing YouTube clogged with campaign videos and recaps from each party hasn’t been much fun for anyone either side of the Atlantic. Even managing to fit in the now-infamous “binders full of women” quote, this musical number will be stuck in your head all day.

Bodyform Responds :: The Truth

In one of those ‘a little too perfect not to be staged’ kind of ways, this video has amassed more than 2m views on YouTube in just under three days. The reason? Well, a jealous poster on Bodyform’s Facebook wall brought into question the accuracy of some of Bodyform’s previous marketing claims. Bodyform responds, a little too honestly, and scores a viral marketing win.
