We take a look at some of the most-viewed and most-shared videos on the web. This week features dubbed zombies, a tricky question for non-Spanish speakers, another stab at virality from the Girl with a Funny Talent, a preview for Steven Spielberg’s next POTUS biopic, and a straight-talking trailer for Iron Man 2.

More than 72 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute, 500 years of video watched on Facebook every day, and more than 700 YouTube videos shared on Twitter each minute, ensuring there is always video trending on the web.

With so much video available for viewing, we take a look at some of the viral videos that have caught our eye this week.

When is Cinco de Mayo?

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! If you no habla español, you might not realise that Cinco de Mayo literally translates to 5 May. But if you’re from the US, where this day of Mexican culture and heritage will be widely celebrated today, that gap in knowledge can be a bit more embarrassing. That’s probably why Jimmy Kimmel – who last week lampooned Coachella visitors’ music knowledge – took to the streets with this seemingly simple question.

This video made for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, the annual roast of the US president and his administration, imagines what it would be like if Steven Spielberg decided to make a biopic of Barack Obama with none other than Daniel Day Lewis playing the lead. Of course, it goes without saying, the renowned method actor really loses himself to the role.

Girl with a funny talent – you’re so sweet

Aussie teenager Sarah Ellen first went viral last year thanks to her dancing eyebrows. Now the Girl with a Funny Talent is back with her very own YouTube channel and another ‘talent’ of sorts to show off. Her first viral hit scored close to 53m views at last count, so the young YouTuber has set the bar pretty high.

As Iron Man 3, the latest instalment from Marvel’s Avengers film franchise, storms the box office, screenjunkies reminds us of Iron Man 2 – the one most likely to be forgotten amid this series of much stronger, more enjoyable superhero blockbusters.
