At Silicon Republic’s Women Invent Meet-up on Tuesday in Dublin, An Cosán’s education programme co-ordinator Sinead Kelly shared her personal journey and her recent coaching as a trainer for #techmums.

Kelly told the audience about An Cosán’s Young Women in Technology programme and about #techmums.

She explained how it was when An Cosán CEO Liz Waters attended the launch of the Women Invent Tomorrow research with Accenture that she had a lightbulb moment regarding the digital opportunities for young women in disadvantaged areas.

She also spoke of Dr Sue Black’s visit to An Cosán this summer to train Kelly and others, and how the #techmums programme had become part of the two-year digital programme.

Waters had met Black when Black addressed Silicon Republic’s Future Jobs Forum in February.
