Enterprise Ireland encourages students to Think Outside the Box

20 Jan 2011

Enterprise Ireland has launched a drive to get entrepreneurial students to create innovative business proposals as part of the new ‘Think Outside the Box’ competition.

The initiative allows students to build a real-world business venture and be in with the chance to win a prize from the overall €30,000 prize fund, with a €10,000 first prize.

The ‘Think Outside the Box’ competition is open to all full-time third-level students in Ireland. It’s co-sponsored by Invest Northern Ireland, Cruickshank Intellectual Property Attorneys and Mammoth Advertising.

Students are encouraged to team up with friends from other faculties in order to collaborate on coming up with business proposals to help them explore ideas and develop a taste for starting a business themselves after they graduate.

The competition campaign also has a website, Facebook page, YouTube channel and podcasts, in order to attract students to taking part.

The Facebook page has a team up icon to let students link up with others from their college interested in entering the competition.
