Internet making textbooks obsolete, survey suggests

Textbooks will be become obsolete, all thanks to the internet, more than a quarter of teachers in the UK responded to a poll by the e-Learning Foundation and the Times Educational Supplement.

Many teachers also believe more and more learning will be done online, the survey of nearly 600 primary and secondary school teachers suggests.

It should come as no surprise, then, that a fifth of the teachers said access to a computer and the internet was essential for students to complete their homework.
