While Ireland struggles under the latest storms, those of us who want to get a better picture of them but not leave the comfort of the house can track their progress online.

Dublin Bay

While the west coast has received most of the storm’s force, this webcam provided by Decisions [D4H], shows the choppy seas of Dublin Bay.

This view gives you a look from Baily Lighthouse on Howth Head as it sits precariously on top of rocks with its 134ft high tower and rotating light beaming out into the Irish Sea.

Live wind movements

This incredibly hypnotic simulation of global wind patterns provided by the US National Weather Service shows Ireland in the midst of a serious storm as it moves over Wales and western England also.

Unsurprisingly, the large blob of red on the map indicates where the gales are strongest.

By clicking the earth icon in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, you can alter dozens of different measurable weather date including different projections and temperatures.
