Ricoh launches new carbon and cost-friendly printer

24 Mar 2011

Want to reduce your office’s carbon footprint and save on space? Released just in time before Earth Hour this Saturday, this new colour printer from Ricoh also has a nifty ECO Night Sensor to help companies lower their carbon impact.

The Aficio SP C320DN prints in black and white and colour at 25 pages per minute and offers low power consumption. Its compact size is also a welcome feature, while its ECO Night Sensor is an eco-friendly feature that’s sure to fit in with companies’ sustainability strategies.

Alan Mason, managing director of Ricoh Ireland, says the ECO Night Sensor is a key feature of the Aficio SP C320DN.

“It automatically switches off the device’s main power when the light levels in the room dip below a certain level. The sensor can be set to activate between five and 120 minutes after darkness falls – and it detects both the decline of natural and artificial light. ECO Night Sensor significantly reduces the printer’s power consumption and running costs,” says Mason.

The printer itself features an intuitive 4-line LCD operation panel. Its space-saving features include front/top accessibility, which allows it to be located against a wall or in a corner. The front-loading paper tray also slides back underneath the machine to save space when not in use.

Green features of the Aficio SP C320DN:

  • Eco-friendly and money-saving features such as ECO Night Sensor, low power consumption, fast duplex printing, ultra-low sleep mode, short warm-up time and increased toner yield
  • Energy Star compliant (less CO2 is produced in providing the energy needed to run this device).
