14 Irish start-ups taking part in UK & Ireland Tech Tour named

Following an arduous review process, the UK and Ireland Tech Tour has named the 14 Irish companies presenting in front of investors today and tomorrow. They include: Accuris Networks, Brite Bill, Inhance Technology, NewsWhip, OpenJaw Technologies, OptiWi-fi, PathXL, Rainsafe, SixMinute, Swrve New Media, Trustev, VideoElephant, Waratek and WholeWorldBand.

The UK & Ireland Tech Tour will take place 17-20 September in Dublin and Glasgow.

Tech Tour announced a total of 27 companies across the UK and Ireland. The presenting companies represent the region’s most promising technology companies and have all been based or incubated in the UK and Ireland.

The Top 13 Emerging Technology Companies from the UK are: Clear Returns, Cloudsoft Corporation, Evanidus Ltd, IE-CHP, mLED Ltd, MOFgen, Orthox Ltd, Peekabu Studios, Rathlin Medical, Sunamp, Taragenyx Limited, Trident Energy Ltd and VueKlar Cardiovascular.

Over the four days, the 27 companies will be introduced to more than 60 key European, US and Asian investors and professionals who can assist in their global expansion.

More than 100 companies from across the technology spectrum based in Ireland and the UK had submitted applications.

Tom Cusack, manager, Scaling Department of Enterprise Ireland, is a member of the selection committee.

“Enterprise Ireland is delighted to be a partner on the tech tour, which provides an excellent platform to showcase the high quality technology companies emerging from the Irish tech scene.

“Ireland is fast becoming the technology capital of Europe and we are delighted to see the tech tour coming to Dublin to support this,” Cusack said.
