The Digital Hub in Dublin is to host a morning mentoring event for the latest start-ups and entrepreneurs, with Storyful founder Mark Little discussing tech business development.

Entitled Secrets to my Success, the event will take place on 11 September, from 7.30-9.30am. Sinead Dalton, co-founder of Mashup Media, will serve as MC.

The Digital Hub and Sage Ireland launched Secrets to my Success, which has been created as part of a wider Sage campaign called ‘Business Navigators’, designed to support start-ups and small businesses.

The focus of the event will be on Little, who will be looking at the development of one of the world’s largest social media news agencies, and who will give insights into his journey of starting, growing and selling a successful business.

According to Sage Ireland’s recent figures, 94pc of Irish SMEs acknowledged that mentoring can help them succeed, however, less than a 29pc are making use of business mentors.

Gerry Macken, CEO of The Digital Hub Development Agency, spoke about hosting Secrets to my Success.

“In our 11 years as a vibrant cluster of digital content and technology enterprises, The Digital Hub has been host to over 170 companies.

“By working to create an infrastructure of support for the companies based here, which facilitates collaboration, mentoring and knowledge exchange, we’ve seen first-hand the benefits these bring to the companies that are starting to grow.”

Gerry Macken will be a panelist at Silicon Republic’s Digital Ireland Forum on 12 September in the Convention Centre Dublin
