Silicon Valley to Europe road trip: two good Irish tech start-ups needed

23 Jun 2015

Two promising start-ups are being sought to take part in an experience that begins in Silicon Valley and takes in meetings with investors across five European cities.

Two tech-focused Irish tech start-ups are being sought to take part in a European roadshow that will also take them to Silicon Valley to meet investors and international media.

Start-up Europe initiative Welcome links start-ups from Berlin, Dublin, Madrid, Milan and Salamanca to venture capitalists, business angels, corporates, mentors and other start-ups.

In collaboration with DCU Ryan Academy, two promising Irish start-ups are being sought to take part.

The Irish start-ups will join their European counterparts and spend three weeks at the Mind the Bridge Startup School in San Francisco for an immersion programme that includes workshops, mentoring, networking and company site visits.

Once the start-ups return to Europe, they will embark on a two-week pan-European tour of Berlin, Milan, Madrid and Salamanca. As part of this tour, the start-ups will attend large events and pitch to investors, business angels and international media.

All of these activities will come at no cost to the entrepreneurs. The Silicon Valley school tuition, travel and accommodation expenses for both the Silicon Valley trip and the European roadshow will be covered by Welcome.

The closing date for entry is Tuesday 30 June and interested parties can apply via http://welcomestartup.eu/svr.
