New Frontiers, an entrepreneur development programme backed by Enterprise Ireland, is open for applications.
Looking for projects in areas as diverse as food, IT, engineering, electronics, me tech, and pharma, the DIT Hothouse and IADT, Dun Loaghaire programme is now taking applicants.
Looking to support “technology or knowledge-intensive ventures”, it is divided into three separate phases – the first of which is accepting applicants this month.
First comes a two-month part-time phase, which has 30 places that do workshops during the week. As you’d expect, introductions into people in particular areas lead to proper evaluation of ideas, before the second phase comes in.
This is where it gets serious, with a six-month full-time training and development phase for just 15 of the original 30. The training offered involves more intensive, focused workshops, mentoring and one-to-one clinics, as well as a €15,000 stipend and incubator space.
Lastly comes a support period which involves hotdesk space and investor meetings. You can apply here. 14 locations in total run a New Frontiers programme, with more information on each course available here.
