The software that powers the White House website, Drupal, will be the topic of the biannual ‘DrupalCamp’, a community and education event to be held from 1-3 April in Galway.
Drupal is an open source content management platform powering millions of websites and applications. It’s built, used, and supported by an active and diverse community of people around the world. Other big-name users include Trocaire, Concern and Al Jazeera.
The organisers say there will be something of interest there for you if you have any interest in building a website, regardless of your background or skill level.
There will be presentations from experienced users and developers of Drupal, both from Ireland and overseas. While there will be plenty of discussion about the technical aspects of the software, there are introductory talks for newcomers.
On Friday, 1 April, there will be a day of hands-on training for Drupal users, with the focus on building themes for Drupal 7, the newest version of the software.
