The first 10 speakers for START, the start-up-focused little sister of Dublin Web Summit’s f.ounders event, have been announced, featuring homegrown heroes and international inspiration.

START seeks to bring together the world’s most exciting and disruptive start-up businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and tech bloggers. So far, the first event will see the Irish contingent represented by 18-year-old entrepreneur James Whelton, founder of global coding movement CoderDojo, and the founders of Soundwave – an NDRC Launchpad success story – Brendan O’Driscoll, Aidan Sliney and Craig Watson.

The Irish entrepreneurs will be joined by founders from eight other start-ups: Levo League, Retail Tower, Content Fleet, NationBuilder, Qordoba, Citivox, Sponsorhub and Scopely.

Further announcements and surprise guests for START are expected in the coming weeks and the event will be eld alongside the Dublin Web Summit on 17-18 October 2012.
