A major airline industries award has been given to Irish car-rental company CarTrawler.

Car-rental solutions company for the travel industry, CarTrawler, has been awarded Best Ancillary Revenue Innovation at the ‘Annual Budgies Low Cost Airline Awards ceremony’ in London, UK, this week.

Accepting the award at the ceremony in the Sofitel Hotel in Heathrow, Bobby Healy, chief technical officer of CarTrawler commented: “We are delighted to accept this prestigious award and would like to thank the judges for choosing us. CarTrawler will continue to empower our customers and suppliers to achieve increased revenue and revolutionise car rental distribution globally.”

Last year, CarTrawler was named in the Deloitte 2009 Technology Fast 500, an annual listing of the fastest-growing technology companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
