Jlizard secures €50,000 investment from Enterprise Ireland

29 Mar 2011

Jlizard, a graduate company from NDRC’s LaunchPad programme, is one of 10 companies to receive a €50,000 investment from the Enterprise Ireland’s internet and games fund.

Following the success of recent trials, Jlizard will use the investment to launch its initial product, LogEntries, in April 2011.

LogEntries is a cloud-based software-as-a–service solution that allows organisations to outsource the analysis and management of their log data, reducing the time needed for in-house analysis from weeks to minutes. LogEntries can also be implemented to detect and report systems issues or errors in real time. Dealing with these issues immediately can avoid critical system downtime and can deliver time and cost savings for any organisation.

“NDRC’s LaunchPad programme served as an invaluable platform for JLizard during our start-up phase, providing guidance and mentoring which allowed us to progress LogEntries to market-launch status. We now aim to launch LogEntries to the Irish market in the coming weeks with a view to launching to the international market within year two of operation,” said Trevor Parsons, co-founder of Jlizard.

Ben Hurley, CEO, NDRC, said, “Our 12-week LaunchPad programme is the first such accelerator programme in Ireland, supporting companies ‘from idea to income’. Jlizard is one working example of how our business model is facilitating start-ups in the digital space to progress from concept to market-ready status in an intensive collaborative environment. We look forward to the launch of LogEntries – both at home and on an international platform”.
